Walking Exercise


We're walking again!

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8:00 am, meet at the Serra Mesa Recreation Center then walk for about 45 minutes around the neighborhood. It's all outside so there's minimum risk of viral transmission.

We have a ceramics workshop where we can slip-form, coil or free-form clay into great masterpieces. This is a hands-on, ground-level experience where we explore and have fun outdoing each other's artistic creations.

The Princess And The Frog is a 2009 American animated musical film. Set in the 1920s New Orleans, the film tells the story of a hardworking waitress named Tiana who dreams of opening her own restaurant. After kissing a prince who has been turned into a frog by an evil witch doctor, Tiana becomes a frog herself and must find a way to turn back into a human before it is too late.

Paint Your Wagon is a 1969 Western starring Lee Marvin, Clint Eastwood, and Jean Seberg. The setting is a mining camp during the Gold Rush. When a covered wagon crashes into a ravine, prospector Ben Rumson finds two brothers, one of whom is dead and the other who has a broken arm and leg. While burying the dead man, gold dust is discovered in the grave. Ben stakes a claim on the land and adopts the surviving brother as his "Pardner."

Batman is a 1989 superhero film based on the DC Comics character. Batman inadvertently causes gangster Jack Napier to fall into Axis Chemical acid, triggering his transformation into the psychotic Joker. As Gotham City approaches its bicentennial, Mayor Borg orders district attorney Harvey Dent and Police Commissioner Gordon to make the city safer by incarcerating mob boss Carl Grissom. Meanwhile, reporter Alexander Knox and photojournalist Vicki Vale investigate sightings of a masked vigilante called "Batman" who is targeting the city's criminals.

During springtime on a farm in Somerset County, Maine, young Fern Arable discovers her father John about to kill a runt of a litter of newborn pigs. She successfully begs her father to spare the piglet's life. Fern names the piglet Wilbur and nurtures him lovingly.

Erickson (Holden) is an American-born Swedish oil man who is pressured by Allied intelligence agents to spy for the Allies. Erickson begins his job reluctantly, as it causes marital discord and forces him to pose as a Nazi.
